I Totally Funniest

I TOTALLY FUNNIEST, by James Patterson

Is about a boy trying to win a competition (s) to be the funniest kid in the world!

To begin, Jamie Grim (the main character) is a comedian.  Kids tell jokes and make the judges happy with their performances.  For example Jamie ALWAYS chokes on stage because he gets so nervous and when he finally gets comfortable Jamie always starts with “ Hi my name is Jamie Grim.”   

Along the way Jamie has to face some challenges in school.  During the competition (s) Jamie starts being a brat to his friends…   GILDA Gold, Joey GAYNOR, and Jimmy PIERCE.  Also  he still has a challenge with his step family. Since Jamie's real parents passed away in a car accident Jamie had to stay with his cousins.  Jamie got bad luck… Jamie’s cousin is the school bully and Jamie gets beat up… Regularly.

I highly suggest this book to 8~11 year olds, because it teaches you to have courage and keep trying even when you might fail. Also another reason why this book is for 8~11 year olds is because the book  is a 321 page book.  ( It does have entraining sketches in between the words.)  I also think this book is great for boys AND girls.

Also I love this book ( and series) because there are lots of little components that relate to real life.  Ex: that Jamie is ether in or out the book does not just keep players because they are main characters ( but I am not saying he can't win.)  Another thing I like about the book is all the jokes the author gets in.  In addition Jamie is not POOF on stage telling jokes, Jamie actually has to study about famous jokesters.

I give this book 5 out of 5 stars because everything in this book…( the real life components, Jamie's friends, his step family ( the smileys), his training) all tied up in one book you get an EXPLOSION OF AWESOME!
