Crime Biters

Crime Biters: This Book is Great!
                                           by Erik Boydston

Meet Jimmy Bishop in this epic book. I think Tommy Greenwald has made a big hit by creating the book  Crime Biters: My Dog is Better than Your Dog. This amazing work of writing is in Northport ( I don’t know where, but it sounds interesting )and between August 26- August 29. Some of the main characters are Jimmy Bishop, Irwin Wong, daisy Flowers, Abby the slightly crazed dog, and the dreadful babysitter, Mrs. Cragg.

I think that Tommy Greenwald was saying to the reader “Anything is possible, child anything is possible.” When I read this book for the first time, I was like “WOW!” I have read this three times, and it’s only been a month! I couldn’t keep my eyes off this book. the problem is that mrs. Cragg is being really mean to Jimmy, especially Abby. the solution is that-well I won’t give it all away, but it’s truly amazing. Again, I couldn’t put this book down, but then I found out what happened to Jimmy Bishop.

Cloud Castle

Cloud Castle
Book Review
By: Laila Kauffman

“An enormous elephant stood up there. He had seven trunks, one in each color of the rainbow. Around his legs he wore gold  bracelets” This quote is proof that this book has traits like adventure fantasy, excitement, and difference.
I like how this book is different because it uses mice instead of humans as the main characters. The name of this book is Cloud Castle it is by scholastic. This  book is about school mates the “Thea sisters”, Thea a teacher, and Will Mystery  a mouse who studies fantasy lands. But when a crack appears in the magical map it is off on an adventure with the Thea sisters.

A Series of Unfortunate Events: The Reptile Room

A Series of Unfortunate Events
The Reptile Room
By Lemony Snicket

“Of course, after they discover that Dr.Montgomery is dead…” this quote from the book A Series of Unfortunate Events The Reptile Room by Lemony Snicket shows why this book was a giant thriller to me and many others.

Violet, Klaus and Sunny are orphans and together with Violet’s inventing, Klaus’s reading and Sunny’s biting they manage to escape Count Olaf clutches in the first book but in this book Count Olaf is in disguise as Stefano and plans to steal their fortune again.

I really like this book because it builds a ton of suspense and mystery while never being bored for a second and that is why I would recommend this book to anyone.

Sammy Keyes and the Hotel Thief

Austin Boggs

“Sammy saw it,the most horrifying thing thing in the world, something she world regret seeing.”

This thing she is seeing is a very important piece of the book Sammy Keyes and the Hotel Thief by Wendelin Van Draanen.

Sammy Keyes (a girl just starting junior high) is looking out the window through binoculars, when she sees it,a thief stealing money out of someone's purse, a hotel thief. This is very regretting especially since her grandmother keeps telling her to not look through binoculars and she keeps doing it.

I think the author of this book Wendelin Van Draanen is trying to tell us to listen to our guardian.

I liked this book because it is one of the books that has a mystery of who the thief was.I also like it because every time I told myself a time to read,I usually ended up going over it by at least 10 minutes. This is why I love this book by Wendelin Van Draanen.I would recommend it to anyone that likes mystery books.

Encylopedia Brown: Boy Detective

Noaea Bunch         Encyclopedia Brown:
10-6-15                           Boy Detective
Writing

By: Donald J. Sobol

Most kids think that they can only have a job as an adult. But this kid named Leroy Brown(Encyclopedia Brown) thinks otherwise. Leroy starts his own detective service for Idaville. During the job he is doing Leroy makes new friends and co-workers. One of his friends is Sally Kimball. She is there for Leroy not only a co-worker but also as a bodyguard. Leroy solves cases of stabbed watermelons, missing roller skates and more. There are the answers to each case on the back of the book. That’s my book review for September.
