Holes

HOLES

Holes by Louis Sachar is an amazing fiction book.

Holes is about an 12 year old boy named Stanley Yelnats who might be cursed because of  his no-good-pig-stealing-great-great-grandfather. Stanley is accused of stealing the famous baseball player Clyde Livingston's shoes. Clyde’s nickname is Sweet Feet. Because of this theft Stanley has to go to a boy’s detention center, Camp Green Lake.  There, Stanley and a few friends he makes at camp have to dig holes every day. The holes must be at least 5 feet deep and 5 feet wide. The boys don’t know it yet but they are not digging holes for their good, but for the warden’s good. Read the book to find out why.

I loved every part of this book. Personally I would suggest it to 9-11 year olds. The only thing I do not like about it is that it is just 233 pages long. I WANT MORE!!!

I give this book 5 out of 5 stars. Holes even won a medal and was made into a movie.
